Kari Lake wins, but GOP headquarters should be sounding alarm bells.

It wasn’t a stellar night for Donald Trump in Arizona.

While Kari Lake secured her U.S. Senate primary victory as expected, she failed to generate the strong numbers needed to position herself as a serious contender for November.

Trump-endorsed Abe Hamadeh also appears to have won, but Trump threw a curveball by endorsing Blake Masters at the last minute. Masters, a protégé of tech billionaire Peter Thiel, was endorsed despite Hamadeh’s solid standing.

If the results stand, Hamadeh, who resides in Scottsdale, is set for a long-term role in his reliably Republican West Valley congressional district. This comes despite Masters' significant financial backing and a targeted campaign against Hamadeh’s personal life, including his family, religious beliefs, and unmarried status.
